in Australia... 18 is the legal age for alcohol and smokes, but 16 is the legal age for a consenting adult relationship. i dont really think this is appropriate considering a 16 year old is not capable of thinking in a mature manner. what are the ages for these in your country and do you agree with it?
I live in the same country as you so yeah. I agree with you, 16 is far too young for people to be having intimate relationships and the possibility of raising a child arising from this. There's no way that they would financially or mentally ready to be up for such a daunting task. It should definitely be higher than 16
It's very true. Even though some are more mature than others, they're still too young. Hell, you're almost too young at 18.
As I posted below, I know someone who got her kid at 16. She's 18 now and she got no education and no real job. She lives in her own apartment though. She's actually my neighbor... A bit ironic that she was in my class before she got pregnant, and now we're neighbors lol.
So, in Sweden it's legal to have sex and get prosecuted for illegal actions at 15/16. You're allowed to go to bars at 18 and to buy alcohol in convenience stores. The more heavy alcohol (vodka, strong cider/beer etc) are restricted to government owned stores called "systembolaget". I think you have to be 20 to buy alcohol from there.
Also, smokes are legal from 18 and up.
I actually know a person who got pregnant at 15 and got her son when she was 16. That being said, I don't think the age limit really does anything to stop teens from doing it. I've heard kids as young as 13 having sex and even though it's illegal, people around the same age are allowed to and nothing will happen. They say it's to protect the kids, but I do wonder why nothing ever happens to the ones who take advantage of kids...
16 to drive
18 to smoke, have sex ,and get married
21 to drink alcohol
Here in Texas:
18 to smoke.
21 to drink.
18 for relationships.
I'm 18, so I am legal for 2 on the list. xD

In New York state, you can have relationships at 17, get married at 16 with parents permission (but what parent would allow THAT to happen?) And be 18 to buy smokes, and 21 to drink or buy alcohol.
there should be a iq test before letting people have children, and possibly some sort of maturity test although im not sure how it would work. i've seen people at the age of 15 who were as mature as a 20-30 year old and up to 40 years old as immature as a 12 year old, So i think its a subjective question

I think the appropriate age is really 18....
Even though here at 16 we can drive!
But I think for marriage one should at least wait until 18~
my country have no rules about any of that! but people assume that 17 is the default "mature" age.
16 - Drive
18 - Can legally marry and smoke
21 - Drink
legal age in marriage in our country is 18.. but in some aspects like smoking ,sex and drinking, legal age is not already applicable. i mean, even a a 9 yr old boy can smoke. i don't know what's going on in my country 
21 legal age to be an aduly
18 young adult
16 driving age
drive/smoke/drink/getting married/in other words you're considered adoult at the age of 18.
You can get married when you're 16 but you have to have permisson from your parents.
21 would be enough
18 and 20 plus
