What is too complicated. I am honestly interested in your opinion. I would like to have a good set of suggestion to present. Any input would be helpful
I am really please with the response thus far. I wonder if I should be making campaign commercials?
count with my vote
. i also have good friends as mods here. Course I dont have anything personal against any mod. But yes, I have seen how unfairly *a few* have been working on this site. The very very much, absence on chat, how a few forum threads have been handled incorrectly, how a few have been taking it to a personal level, trying to convince a team to ban people that have challenged them, say like, if you cant handle the situation or cant take their crap, lets kick their @sses off this site. How ppl were interested about being a mod, following the rules, applying for the position and others who were less time here, and i mean by a lot, are liked by a mod and are chosen to be part of a team over those who fairly passes the interview, application or if mods vote, or how ever the mods choose their fellow co-workers. yes,we have observed that. Also the age part, why not 21 and over, which can handle the heat professionally amongst other things,no offense to those below that age. But i think there is better understanding and communication among all ages, unless it turns out to be a mod who twists the rules, xd.
I am extremely concerned with chat, there are kids, 17 and above hitting on minors, and these naive or however you may call it children, believe every word the person above legal age, (17 can be trialed as an adult), creating rooms, entering 18 and above, and having sexual encounters, specially the whispering, of course not everybody, but since this site is an escape from reality, its sickening to see those posts or on chat, thats why i dont enter chat like i use to. Many people here have seen it. Specially on the community news feed. It leaves a negative print on this site. Not everybody would feel the same, cause they are mainly focused on the news, music and other good friends they have connected with in a clean way. I have written a lot xd, so if i keep on observing how this site is being handled and certain behaviors, ill resume it

Wow I was not even really aware of some of this. You are right adults should not be hitting on kids. That is why I think adults should not be allow to pretend to be children. That is why the "I'm a boy/girl" that is under the pictures should accurately reflect your age. Instead of spending time debating the best bracket we should probably be doing something about the possible sexual predators.
yep, its happens a lot on this site. and yea, haha, i have the im a girl, but yep, that was cause i signed in quickly when i opened this account.
We have to have in mind that, this is the net, not everybody will post their tru-self. And on this site, exists a lil bit of everything. The majority of ppl on this site are kids, its difficult but not impossible to protect them. A few kids play along with the sexual predators, involving themselves way beyond. Its sad, many are emotionally weak, therefore, leading to suicidal thoughts leading to the action to commit it, or turning into stalkers or the s.p turning into stalkers, and any negativity you can think of. Not everybody is like this, or have been in that position. But Ive seen a few on this site.
Wow I have been here three or four years and no one has ever once hit on me. I must be loosing my sex appeal
You are correct as a male it is less likely I would notice such a thing. I have seen a couple over the top overtures in the chat room and ignored them figuring the people doing it know each other in real life.
Such things should not take place on this kind of site. And this site should force people to more accurately represent their age.
didn't know this things happen in here too as i always focus on music and to all my friends here.. even adding lyrics and videos i seldom do it... ![]()
thank goodness,i do have a less interest in going to chat room... ![]()
yeah when I joined it was more fun when the mods were not so overbearing. Maybe if we get enough people to vote rules that make sense they will back off on the new bracket rules and stop looking for thread to lock.
I have a very sweet message from a shy customer of the site. They thought the mods should be required to be polite at all times. They also think there should be a group of customers who review complaints against mods. This group would have the authority to over turn mods decisions.
This sounds like a good idea. I will add it to the platform
I think, it's good ideas
I definitely support you ![]()
It has been one day since I put my email on this thread. In that day thirteen people have emailed me support for these reforms. They have also emailed me with horror stories of rude mods and just general fear. They are afraid that if they come out in support of reform they will be attacked or banned from the site. This is really pretty sad.
1. I don't see how making everyone's gender the same, regardless the age would improve anything... Even as a simple "male/female" it's all up to you what age you will tell others, there is no way to make sure who is who, unless you check everyone in real life, which is of course impossible...
2. Saying that "no one over the age of 12 should be called Boy or Girl" is in my opinion absurd, as you imply that every 12+ kid is mature and should be called "man" or "woman".
Also I know that reality sometimes differs from the initial concept, but you should check the Terms of Service, which clearly state:
"In any case, you affirm that you are over the age of 13, as the JpopAsia Website is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use the JpopAsia Website."
Thus inviduals that you would call boys and girls virtually have no right to be here...
3. Making Shares and Houses unlimited defeats their purpose... If you want to spend your jpops without any limitations to show your support for an artist, then you should be "True Fanning" them. Shares are basically a stock exchange, I suggest learning a little bit about it. A company (here a celebrity) releases a certain amount of shares in their stock, for a primary price. Depending on how well the company performs (here shown by the number of likes and fans) the value of the stock rises and thus the value of the share is higher. As the company succeeds and makes profit (here releasing albums, singles, videos, etc) they can also release additional shares for sale. Giving unlimited shares would mean that everyone can buy a piece of your company's income and that would drop the value of the share... As the name suggests it "shares" the value. To picture it - a company worth a million dollars shared among thousand people would give a share of one thousand per share-holder, but if you allow a million people to buy the shares then one share will be worth only one dollar...
Houses are actually similar they're like real life estates. A building in certain neighborhood is worth X while the other one somewhere else is worth Y, depending on the attractiveness of the area... Also the area is limited, you can't constantly build more and more new buildings in the same area...
If I were to suggest anything to make it kind of fair in my opinion, it would be limiting the number of shares of one celebrity that each user can hold, Idk for example 20 shares of one celebrity per user. And as for houses, maybe increasing their number a little bit and also limiting it to for example 1 house of one song per user...
4. I don't know what exactly you mean by "50 songs", are those songs the tracks in the album, or do you mean videos, nontheless I still think that 50 is a bit small amount... And as I'm for some recognition I wouldn't really agree for the "Crew" badge... You do it of your own will, not because it's your duty.
Well, of course being a crew is also of your own will, but it's a duty that you must perform once you agree.
As for all those forum and mods related issues I don't have opinion, since I actually don't use the forum and so far I didn't have any issues with any mod...
I hope you don't misunderstand my intentions, but since you encouraged it I just wanted to state my point of view and maybe give a tip or two. So for the time being I'd like to stay neutral...
no this is exactly what I want to happen. Under the current system the mods simply rule over over us as if we have no valid ideas
Well, here's my wall of opinion then... xD
heheh, nice.
since i feel like i'm being cheated or ripped off by some issue i would rather not say publicly, you can have my vote
on another note, yes, i have "i'm a girl" under my avatar that is not a picture of myself and though "woman" would have been more appropriate (and since there's no way to change it.. can it even be changed?) i gotta ask, how is "diva" a gender?
Well, basically none of these terms are gender, they just somewhat describe the genders like boy/girl - a young male/female, dude/chick - a relatively young, laid back, easy going male/female. In my opinion diva is supposed to describe a somewhat refined or extravagant woman... xP
i'm not a "diva" then since i'm none of that ![]()
this is so weird how ur calling urself a mod pohba.
so far i havent seen any unjustified claims by a mod.
we both know ur gonna get banned soon.
Yes but what rule have I broken? Should the mods be allowed to swear at me? Should they be allowed lock a thread when it is not against the rules?
And the Grand Pohba thing is a joke. I even say it is joke. I am trying to keep a good humor about the mods who are allowed to break the rules at will.
And if they ban me are they going to ban everyone else who thinks the mods should follow the rules? We are customers here. We should be treated better than this.
The mods are here to serve us not rule over us. And it is sad that some people think they are entitled to act bad because they volunteered.
