I am running to be the Grand Pohba of the Moderators. For too long the mods have done as they please and made up their own rules. Now is the time for the Customers of the site to stand up and be counted. And we are all customers here. It does not matter if you pay or don’t. If you don’t pay you have to read the read the ads. So we should all be teated with respect here.

On three separate occasions in the last six months a mods has locked my thread because they felt like it. The first time I pointed out there was no rule to support the locking. The mod in question made up a rule and posted it to defend their position. That mod even used profanity when talking to me. Still, they are a mod. Do you think a mod should be able to make something illegal just because they feel like it? Should a mod be allowed to be rude to a customer? A couple months later it happened again. That mod just ignored me.

Now the third time the mod is telling me they will leave my thread locked until they change the rules to support their position. Then after they write up new rules they will change my thread to the way they want it to be.

I say that that we the customers of this site deserve a say in what those rules are. The mods keep telling us this is an online community. Do you feel like you have a say in this community?

If elected Grand Pohba of the Mods I will let every user have a say.

    This is my platform:

New rules will be discussed in the forum for 1 Month before it become a rule. If everyone hates it we don’t need it.

Mods who abuse customers will be removed.

The Fun Loving Format of Threads will be defended.

Mods will have to follow the same rules as the rest of the Users.

People who add more than fifty songs should get a CREW Badge or some kind of special recognition.

Also no one over the age of 12 should be called Boy or Girl (Unless they Want to be).

I will also defend your freedom to use what ever Bracket you want {} [] () < >

New Rules will be posted before they are enforced.

Let all member VIP and NonVIP buy as many houses and Shares as they want.

I joke a lot when I am posting here and I love this site. I would hate to see it become a humorless place where mods make up new rules at will and nit pick the customers. If you have an idea that would make this site better I would love to add it to my platform.

I know that you guys cannot elect me. Still a comment of support here might make the mods realize we as users like the format as it is now. Why mess with something that is working? Also the mods are here to serve the customer not rule of them like war lords.

So vote for me by commenting here. Or tell me I am a loony tune. Either way, these issues are real. The mods think you are not smart enough to pick the correct brackets. I kid you not, they want to make a rule dictating what brackets are legal. I wish it were a joke, it would be a funny one.

The mods never do consult the customers when they change the rules. Lets make this a real community where we all get a say. Vote Zeeppo for Grand Pohba of the Mods.

Also if you can (or want to) show you support by changing your message to vote Zeeppo. Please support the old clown this time is sort of matters

VOTES FOR ZEEPPO THUS FAR: 51

This is a great start and there have been some terrific ideas,

While there's nothing wrong with this topic and something we even encourage, the issue with zeeppo is far more stretched than what's just stated here.

Mods can make up rules - yes, we can't cover everything in our rules section and sometimes things happen where we have to intervene because our rules didn't cover it.

Rather than giving you a bible of things you can NOT do (which wouldn't be read by most of you anyways lol), we would like to have some basic rules and decide what to do on a case by case.

We are a community and not a detention center, and we don't want to treat you like criminals.

Mods don't have to live by the same rules, it would make mods obsolete. An ambulance doesn't have to wait for the traffic lights too right.

About VIP and non-VIP, of course everyone wants to have a free VIP-membership. It's easy to say that "Let all member VIP and NonVIP buy as many houses and Shares as they want.". It will make you popular, however, most of you are using JPA for free so would you prefer a free JPA, run by individuals that donate some to keep our servers running? Or no JPA at all.

Someone gotta pay for it, if zeeppo wants to pay all our servers, fine, everyone can enjoy a VIP account. Strangely he didn't offer it to us while he pretends to be so "helpful". People work hard to make things work here. JpopAsia is a non-profit organization and most of the visitors use it for free.

What's worse is the threats he's making towards JPA and the crew. Obviously that isn't stated here but something I can not tolerate. Helpful suggestions ok, constructive criticism ok, threats towards our crew, just no.

Our job is not to be popular among you, but to keep JpopAsia a nice place to come to. To have people doing all this work in the background so you can enjoy a spamfree and trollfree JpopAsia, should be respected. Most of you don't know what's all going on behind the scenes, and you shouldn't be bothered by this. It means that you shouldn't judge our crew and especially not threaten them for the things people like zeeppo "thinks" he knows.

We never ban someone (except spambots), we always give someone a second chance which zeeppo had a few months ago. Still, his only journal postings are how bad we are, how bad the site is etc. and still in violations of rules we set them.

And we also don't ban if you don't like mods, we know we do impopular things because it is necessary. So that reason would be invalid. The messages you see sometimes - user banned - in the comments are all spam accounts. I will change this so it doesn't look like we ban random people.

That's all I have to say and will say about this case.

there r a list of choices of what gender we want to be called, so that rule is irrelevant... also, in most places of this site, gender does not matter

The issue is the age of the person not the gender. I middle aged man should not be able to pretend they are a teenager. When everyone was a boy or girl it was less of an issue. Now there are forty year old boys on the site and 12 year old men.

i love your platform brother... well,i am not questioning the mods capabilities as some of them are my good friends... don't know who really are the mods as i only see the badge as crew... O:)

btw, would like to add in your platform to let the non VIP member to buy houses more than 4 or just let it open as long as the customer wants and can afford it then that's it... why limit it to only 4 if they can afford the houses with it's market value... VIP members already had a discount on buying it so i guess that's enough privilege already... O:)
    just a suggestion!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll be surprised at the things I know that YOU "thought" I didn't know.

The house thing is a great idea. I did not know things were like that. It would help sell houses as well if more people could buy more houses.

  • Reply by stefyap   9 months ago

hmmmmm only 4houses for non VIP members is allowed and nothing more... we can just buy it to some members... well, what if they don't want to sell it???so e don't have a chance, right?????that was all my concerned... O:)

Your right that does not sound fair. I understand giving the VIP members a break on the initial price. You have to give the VIPs something. But preventing people from buying all the houses they want to buy is not cool.

  • Reply by stefyap   9 months ago

exactly my point... why preventing them to buy the houses they want for as long as they can afford to buy it... some of my friends keep asking about that too... :(
well,i reach that houses numbers do have right now as i've been a VIP member too before but now,i can't buy anymore houses as i am no longer a VIP.. :)

    I definitely support you/your ideas!
I also think only extremely active members should be made a crew member. I came across a crew member who hasn't been on this site for about a month.

seriously? that is ridiculous. i know of a mod that resigned...that makes me wonder?

  • Reply by Zeeppo   9 months ago

I do think there can be less active mods though. Some people are more active on the site during certain times of the year. So there may be some reason why some mods are more active at some times.

That is true. But I think all mods should be fairly active.

great ideas clown. i am good friends with lots of the mods and at one time began the process of becoming one. when things happen i just stopped....i have seen some of the injustice here and i feel bad for the mods that work so hard and try to be great and helpful to us. while others i question why they are even mods/crew?
