One of the exercises we used in elementary to build vocabulary was to make sentences, so lets do it with Japanese as well.
Rules are simple, make a sentence with the word the person above you posted and post a new word for the next person, please include a romaji version for our newbs.
Example:
兎 うさぎ usagi
鰻 うなぎ unagi
Try your best but you don't have to use all kanji, kana, romaji. If you're new, don't be afraid to use a dictionary or a conjugation tool. Have fun!
1st word
eel unagi うなぎ 鰻
unagi wa rongu to nurunuru ga desu
the eel is long and slimy
2nd word
Inu
ここには捨て犬がいっぱい
koko ni wa sute inu ga ippai
we have lots of stray dogs here
next word: 木（き) or ki in romaji
アマゾン森に木がいっぱいあります
amazon mori ni ki ga ippai arimasu.
There are lots of trees in the Amazon forest.
new word: 日曜日 (にちようび) nichiyoubi - Sunday
日曜日で学校に居るなやすはかっこい悪い。
にちようびでがっこうにいるなやつはかっこいわるい。
nichiyoubi de gakkou ni iru na yatsu wa kakkoiwarui.
people who come to school on sunday are uncool.

日曜日、日本語 を 勉強しました。
にちようびう、にほんご を べんきょうしました。
Sunday, I studied Japanese.

申し訳ありませんでした，新しい言葉を書いてなかった。

moushiwakearimasendeshita, atarashii kotoba wo kaite nakatta

New word - Use enpitsu/pencil in a sentence
最近買った鉛筆はあまりよくない。
さいきんかったえんぴつはあまりよくない。
saikin katta enpitsu wa amari yokunai.
The pencil I bought recently is not very good.
New word: 歌 （うた/uta/song）
堀江さんの歌はとっても上手い。
ほりえさんのうたはとってもうまい。
Horie san no uta wa totte mo umai.
All of Miss Horie's songs are good.
Next word - 時間 (jikan/time)
この宿題は時間掛かりそう。。。
このしゅくだいはじかんかかりそう。。。
kono shukudai wa jikan kakarisou...
Looks like this homework will take some time...
next word - 虹 (niji/rainbow)
どうして分かんないけど虹はホモたちと繋いだ。
どうしてわかんないけどにじはホモたちとつないだ。
doushite wakannai kedo niji wa homo tachi to tsunaida.
I don't know why but rainbow is associated with gays.
next word - 魚 （さかな/sakana/fish)
毎日、たくさん魚を食べるのが好きです。
まいにち、たくさんさかなをたべるのがすきです。
mainichi,takusan sakana wo taberu no ga suki desu.
Everyday i like to eat lots of fish.
next word--> 音楽 (おんがく / music) 
sounds a bit awkward. lemme think about it, i'll get back when I can find a smooth way of saying that

Literally. I want to eat a lot of fish everyday.
vk45de - No that sounds awkward as well! Especially the 'Mainichi de' part! that is wrong!

literal meaning is 'I eat a lot of fish everyday'

I am happy with my work.
Next word: Netsu / Hot
hetsu is a fever. hot is atsui. i go with fever
きゅうきゅうしゃを呼べ，赤ちゃんにはひどい熱がある！
きゅうきゅうしゃをよべ，あかちゃんにはひどいねつがある！
kyuukyuusha wo yobe, akachan ni wa hidoi netsu ga aru!
Call the ambulance, the baby has a terrible fever!
next word - 心臓 （しんぞう, shinzou, heart)
