I'm at the point where I'm ready to give up. No one understands me or my feelings. I don't know what it is...I feel like I'm so different and maybe that's my problem. Maybe I should just conform to what society expects a person of my race to be like, a thug, ghetto, and unintelligent. If I'm just like every other guy maybe finding love will be easier. I feel like I'm so different to the point that i'm incompatible with almost every girl out there...I've never had a problem getting women but i'm tired of playing the field. I want something steady. Something that's going to be there when I wake up, but I don't want to just settle for anyone. But I have yet to feel that spark you get when you see a beautiful girl and having that feeling of wanting to make her feel special. Being black makes it so much harder too because I don't just want to settle for a black girl. Most black girls aren't like me and they are all melodramatic and annoying. But I feel like women of other races look right through me because they think i'm something i'm not. I just want love

How old are you? As you tell yourself, you are tired to play. Well, if you act like that then what kind of girl would take you serious if you talk like a pick-uper? No offence. Make something so people see that you are different. Everyone wants love. Be yourself.

I understand, people here(the state I live in) are quite stereotypical, but society is nothing more than a cardboard box for walls. Love will come in due time, but it is unexpected. Those that look merely at the color of one's skin are fools, the one your destined to meet will look past that and get to know you, it could be a friend, it could be just someone you run into. lakchamps, you will find it, life here makes it hard but is our job to push life aside. An old song I used to listen to as a child has taught me "You've got to keep the faith". I mean I am not saying you have not tried already, but perhaps forging new bonds will at one point find the one person your looking for, that has been waiting for you all this time. Not to say things that may come across generic or anything, but believe me, you will have better luck than I would, you know which key opens that lock on your heart, now only time will tell who is going to visit the door. All in due time my friend, just don't feel like the world is crumbling under you, those who see at least what I see are things that make your world, those that cannot and are blinded by prejudice or using experience as a personal belief are the pieces falling apart, you just have to walk over the gaps. I hope this has helped in some way lakchamps.

Actually...give up. It sounds cliche, but when you do and just enjoy life without love you will meet the right person. Just give yourself time. As soon as I gave up on finding someone I met the man I'm now engaged to and have been with for 4 years. Just be happy being yourself for the time being.
I'm sure love will come to you in time. Just be patient and wait. Good things comes with being patient.

Though this isn't the easiest thing, try not to worry too much, rather, focus on how you can treat the girl you like with sincerity, even if she seems to "look through you."
True love always breaks through because that is what each human heart is looking for.
Also, don't be afraid to be you; don't be ashamed either because only those who truly love you will accept you as who you are.

You just need to be patient. The right one will come to you before you know it I myself aren´t the most handsome or even slimmest one but I still managed to find myself a girl Don´t give up trying and be patient

i think for relationships, the harder u try to find someone, the more you will not find someone.

I totally have the same problem. People my age find me too outgoing and too studious.
One thing I can say is don't rush into things. Maybe make friends with a girl you like first. Get to know her. Well you feel the time is right, ask her out! Don't be afraid of rejection. All girls feel honoured to be asked out. You don't know maybe she is thinking exactly the same thoughts as you right now! Good luck!
there are others like you. so dont feel alone , i'm up there with you but its never a good idea to give up. i'm sure it'll all work out in the end.
Its not good to go searching for love. If you do, its not real love.
