Well' for starters it is a country.
And the people there are called Nihon-jin in thier own language, they call Japan Nihon. Japan is a constitutional monarchy where the power of the Emperor is very limited. :king: As a ceremonial figurehead, he is defined by the constitution as "the symbol of the state and of the unity of the people". Power is held chiefly by the Prime Minister of Japan and other elected members of the Diet, while sovereignty is vested in the Japanese people. The Emperor effectively acts as the head of state on diplomatic occasions. Akihito is the current Emperor of Japan. Naruhito, Crown Prince of Japan, stands as next in line to the throne. For more information. Please contact me.... ![]()

hmmmm eat some sushi. The food is one of the best ways to learn about a country. Be ready for the local food before you go. You will make more friends if you do not tun your nose up at the sushi while you are there.
Um...they don't have street names!
Japan has a festival called Hadaka Matsuri. In English it is the festival of the naked man.
They have a lot of festival actually
especially during summer!
Also their holiday traditions are different there! For example on Valentines day the girls only give chocolate to the guys they like (which is called Honmei Choco) but they also give chocolate to other guys that they might have as Friend (called Giri choco) They also give chocolate to their other friends.. even if they are girls ![]()
Then one month later in March 14 they have a holiday called White day where it's the guys turn to give chocolate to the girls whom they received chocolate from ![]()
But they usually give things like candy or cookies instead of chocolate ![]()
What do you wanna know about Japan?
I guess, you should have to ask a specific question, for us other member to answer. ![]()
Japan has a bean throwing festival, Setsubun, on February 3rd. Sometimes a kid/parents will play the Oni (demon) and others will throw beans at them. The phrase is Oni wa soto, fuku wa uchi. Oni outside, gook luck inside (the home). Many people will go to the temples including celebrities and politicians. It is even covered on the news there. It's a pretty enjoyable festival. ![]()
