[TRANS] 100811 K-Sure Provides 2 Billion Won Culture Exportation Insurance To SungKyunKwan Scandal
It was revealed on the 11th that the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation K-Sure has provided drama KBS2's 'SungKyunKwan Scandal' with two billion Won in culture exportation insurance.
Thanks to K-Sure's support, Raemong Raein, the company in charge of the drama, has been able to get a two billion Won loan from the bank for their 6.7 billion Won production costs and is planning to repay this loan with the profits made from domestic and overseas exportation of the drama.
SungKyunKwan Scandal has both a cinematic and crowd-attracting quality as it was chosen as the '2010 Global Frontier Project' drama by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency as well as the most awaited drama of the second half of 2010 by netizens.
A representative of K-Sure stated, "Dramas are the representative Hallyu Culture product with them accounting for 90% of televised contents exports," and "K-Sure's support for KBS dramas will continue as KBS has continued to create popular dramas such as 'Iris', 'Marry Me' and 'SungKyunKwan Scandal'."

U-Know Yunho becomes men’s magazine ‘men’s uno’ cover for August issue.
Last August U-Know Yunho was selected as cover model in second issue of ‘men’s uno’ published in Hong Kong, along with it, there was also the latest interview about charm appeal of U-Know Yunho including some photoshoot pictures. Regarding this issue, the Asian fans’ reaction was high.
‘men’s uno’ is Asia’s leading men magazine having wide issue area such as Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. Asia’s top actors namely Takeshi Kaneshiro, Jay Chou, Lee Byung Hyun, and many others had ever featured on the magazine’s cover, thus the chosen of U-Know Yunho is once again proven the popularity of him in entire Asia.
The photoshoots was taken during U-Know Yunho’s last visit to Hong Kong in mid-May. When the photoshoot was being held in Hong Kong, there were hundreds of fans flocking the studio. As well when the magazine was finally issued, there was flood of phonecalls from all over Asia. The high interest from public was rumored to be greater than ever thus suprising all the magazine staffs.
In addition, U-Know Yunho is expected to grace another cover shoot for ‘men’s uno’ October issue published in Taiwan in coming early October, shaking the Taiwan fans with joy.
Meanwhile, on September 8th U-Know Yunho will his musical performance for musical ‘Goong’ whose tickets had been sold out and on the following September 21st, he will contribute in ‘SMTOWN LIVE 10 WORLD TOUR IN SEOUL’ held in Seoul Olympic Stadium.

The main poster of Micky Yoochun and Park Min Young’s youthful romance drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal has been revealed!
This upcoming KBS2TV drama, based on Jung Eun Kwol’s best selling novel, will take place in the Chosun Dynasty and will be about the scandal at Sungkyunkwan University, which at the time was only open to men. Park Min Young’s character, Kim Yoon Hee will take on the disguise of her sickly brother and attend the university in his place, where she will encounter and soon fall in love with Micky’s character, Lee Sun Joon.
Lee Sun Joon (Micky Yoochun) and Kim Yoon Hee (Park Min Young) can be seen in the poster posing with their fingers on their lips saying “Shhh!” which hints at the secret romance to come between the two. The words, “You’re the only one who doesn’t know, the confession that shakes the heart of my youth…” can also be seen running across the poster.

[NEWS] 100811 SungKyunKwan Scandal as The Most Anticipated Drama in Second Half Year
Netizens were up to choose their most anticipated drama among ones which will air in second half year, and KBS 2TV drama starring Micky Yoochun and Park Min Young, ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ was chosen as the most anticipated one.
Since last July 30th, Joy News24 held an on-line poll with subject ‘Second Half Year’s Most Anticipated Drama’ and ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ successfully grabbed the 1st rank.
On August 11th, from total 7,607 participants, ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ gathered an overwhelming 3,118 votes (41%) thus occupied the 1st place.
This is supposedly the second title of ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ as the most anticipated drama after one from DC news last month. ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ will start it first broadcast on August 30th.

Set in the Chosun Dynasty’s Sungkyunkwan, the youthful students’ story of growing up and romance, the drama airing on KBS2 on Mondays and Tuesdays, “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” held its production conference. The production presentation was held on the afternoon of 17 August, in the Vista Hall of W Hotel in Gwangjang-dong, and Park Yoochun, Park Min Young, Song Joong Gi, Yu Ah In, Jun Tae Soo, Seo Hyo Rim other actors as well as production staff were present.
Director Kim Won Seok PD said, “ In the original story, the 4 characters’ story was centralized around romance and friendship, and we added a little bit of a social message. In the drama, the love and friendship shared by the 4 youths as they grow up is discussed, and the youths’ ambitious fight against the existing powers is displayed. However, there isn’t too big a difference from the actual story.
When asked about TVXQ member Park Yoochun’s casting story, “Although I was not involved in the casting process, even if I was doing the casting, I would pick Yoochun. Amidst the worry and anticipation, Park Yoochun has shown good acting skills, and possesses good looks and voice. He is the best casting (for the role)” he praised. Park Yoochun said, “ Without realizing it myself, I became deeply involved in the drama, and enjoyed it. During the shoot, it was hot so that was a problem, but we were passionate about making it a good production, so we worked hard.”
Song Joong Gi said, “ Unlike Goo Yong Ha, who looks cheerful on the outside but is actually very serious, “SungKyunKwan Scandal” is a light hearted and good drama. All the actors really worked humbly and seriously during the shoot. “ he revealed. “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” is set in the Chosun Dynasty’s SungKyunKwan, the first top education institution in history, where Lee Seon Joon (Yoochun), Kim Yoon Hee (Park Min Young), Goo Yong Ha (Song Joong Gi), Moon Jae Shin (Yu Ah In), begin their campus romance story in the Chosun Era. “SungKyunKwan Scandal” is set to air on 30 August, replacing “Gumiho : Tale of the Fox’s Child.”

[TRANS] 100817 SungKyunKwan Scandal Press Conference PART3 - Yoochun Felt Trapped
At the press conference, Yoochun said that he himself is an openminded person with a free spirit, whilst Sun Joon (his character) is more conservative and principled.
However, in terms of the feeling of being confined, they are very much alike.
He said 'Sun Joon's dad forces him to become a principeled person, and he feels trapped because of that, I can really relate with that.
I used to feel trapped because of work.
It's not that being a celebrity makes me feel trapped, it's more because I feel like I'm turning my back on my own beliefs and losing myself.
Through acting, I felt like I was liberated, and I'm very glad that I was able to produce a piece like this.'
He also said that 'Since this is my first time acting, my skills may be a little different when I'm practicing compared to when we're actually filming. Even though it's hard to portray emotions, I had a lot of fun doing it.'
With regard to the name 'Park Yoochun' appearing in the credits, he emphasized that 'there is no need to differentiate between Dong Bang Shin Ki's Micky Yoochun and Park Yoochun.'
Making no attempt to conceal his longing to be on stage once again, Yoochun revealed 'Back when we were holding concerts in Japan, holding a mic again after such a long time made me feel somewhat… mournful? I really miss standing on stage and I've yet to come across anything that compares to that. The fans may have to wait a really long time, but I hope they won't just think about waiting and will learn to enjoy the present.'
Finally, he said 'For the first time, I'm actually worried about the ratings. I'm really nervous, but I think 15% wouldn't be too bad. As for awards, it's the same as when you're a singer; if you're not going to get the award, then it's better to not be nominated at all (laughs). But it really would be an entirely different feeling to get an award for acting.'
