Anyways, big big big big big big love. My most played artist, my big love, that voice, god, I can't get enough. Listened to him for more than a year, and no, I'm not getting tired of it. I own his latest single Ophelia~ :3

Yay, another fan ♥♥♥ I haven't gotten a chance to purchase any of his CDs yet, though xP J-music CDs can be so expensive.

Yeah, that's why I have problems seeing him in the J-pop section, as he's not really.. Well, it is pop, really, but not like the other pop here.. <_<
Loved this guy for a long long time now, but I wouldn't ever put him in one genre, as he plays different kinds of music. Pop, yes, but often different. Compare Chocolat to the Hyakkiyagyou-songs, it's pretty much different.

Yeah, I would say he's like electro-pop... but I mean, listen to his stuff like Walkure (♥!) and some of his other dark stuff, it's not really rock, but it's like... not pop. D: I dunno, it's not really one genre. Really like it though.

And his speaking voice is cute too! He sings so deep, and then he talks and it's like... almost a stereotypically gay voice xD

@bluesweater: "Chocolat" is the exception rather than the rule, I think, so he doesn't do many bouncy, happy songs like that (Glitter Arch is another one, but I can't think of any others off the top of my head). His other stuff is different, but still amazing! I'd reccomend "Walkure", "Rose Jail", and "Ophelia". And as for ballads, "Chocolat ~sweet version~", "Silvery Dark", and "Last Snow".
... that's a lot xD It's hard to pick just a couple of his songs.

@bluesweater - If you want to hear his less happy pop-ish songs, check his earlier works like Kugutsu, Kagami oni, remains of mind.
I don't think he's that much better live than recorded. Of course with his scene shows it becomes more, but his voice sounds better recorded than on Salon de Chocolat. Now that dvd was released pretty long ago, and it does sound better now, but I think it's hard for him to sing perfectly when he also dances. I mean, it can be hard for anyone xD

Oh, it IS hard to pick Kaya songs ._. I've tried to get my IRL friends to listen to him, but I can't think of any song to play for them, since the Chocolat PV scared them off >>

I couldn't help but to notice your discussion about the Chocolat PV. And I lol'd xD Seriously though, Chocolat isn't the best song to represent Kaya since it's a bit too "cheery" if you compare to his other work. Personally, I like the song, it suits Kaya very well. Me favourites are however Kugutsu, Kaleidoscope -Glitter Mix-, Masquerade and, currently, Rose Kingdom.
