Who says their newer music isn't as good? I think that's a matter of opinion. I happen to like their newer stuff just fine. They're just expiramenting with a different style, that's all.
They are one of my FAVORITE bands! I LOVE GIRUGAMESH

for me, i REFUSE to listen to their newer stuff. mainly cuz i love Heavier music.
they rocked back then :rock: and now they don't. and for that yeah i'll admit i do resent them for the style change.
i'll allways love their older stuff. i was looking forward to listening to more rocking Girugamesh songs but eh... they shocked and disappointed me.
I really like this band and I like how they are challenging themselves as artists. It keeps them from becoming "oh this again" kind of band.
I know "Color" & "Inochi no ki" was a big change for them but it was a well executed change. The band showed they are more than just guitar riffs and screams.
I really like listening to "Destiny" :RBheart: I still feel it is a great blend of their old stuff with the new stuff. There's the classic scratches and heavy guitar; then it moves to softer almost gentle sound. It's almost like Satoshi-san is telling you story of the ups and downs in life and how he'll be there. Total guess now, there's no translations yet and I'm just speaking from how the music moves me.

What does everyone think of the GO album?
I personally liked Saikai and Never Ending Story but I do miss their old style. I do enjoy Color and Inochi no Ki but I feel a lot of the newer songs are lacking the emotion he used in his older songs but that could just be me and my taste.

I agree that was a stupid choice they should have stayed the same so i'm not going to listen to there newer stuff either so once a rocker always a rocker!!!!!!!!

It's not that we don't understand, it's just that we accept the change. Since I enjoy all genres, I really like their new stuff. I understand perfectly why you guys would be mad at the change, but just because I understand that doesn't mean that I have to believe it and hate their new stuff too. I mean, I see how they've change their sound; it's REALLY different, but luckily for them, I actually like this style.
Listening to the album for the first time, I was like "Oh, it's good, but I guess it could be better" But once I heard Mienai Kyori, Saikai, and Never ending story, I was hooked
On a random note:
Before, I found their songs to sound pretty much the same.
Now, I find their songs to sound pretty much the same.
Just, before and now doesn't sound the same.
Not trying to be rude or anything lol, it's good music still. I mean hell, I listen to Versailles. Almost less variety there, and I love them anyway.

Well, I basically agree. Personally I prefer their newer music because I don't care for screaming, but I do think they're repeating themselves in their new style just like they repeated themselves in their old style. Not a particularly big deal for me, though~. I like the members a bit more than the music, for various reasons.
I do wish (gently) that some people would stop saying they were better in the past. Just because you liked the old music better doesn't officially make it the best music giru ever performed. While I respect your opinion, it's still your opinion alone!

Their US Tour doesn't seem to include California

I love their music, they have unique style And the way Satoshi's voice fits in the music is just... awesome
Ahh, bought both versions of "pray" Really sweet song with a great message, but I can't help thinking that they kind of rushed the making of the song. The rhythm seems a bit off to me. Nonetheless, the idea of making this song for charity is beautiful =)

the song that I like most is Exit
i still love girugämesh
though i prefer the old songs more, the new style is good to and it makes me happy to listen to girus music
they're still my absolute FAVOURITE band ♥♥♥
