f(x) (Korean: 에프엑스; pronounced /ˌɛf ˈɛks/) is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2009. The name is a play on the mathematical notation for function, with "f" signifying "flower" and "x" representing the female's double X chromosome. The quintet consists of Victoria, Amber, Luna, Sulli, and Krystal.
The group previously released their teaser video on 24th August, getting the attention from netizens. The group consists of Korean members Sulli, Luna, Krystal; American Chinese Amber, Victoria – the 5 members will form Asia pop dance group.
Here's the teaser for their debut song LACHATA
Also f(x) known to be a Mathematical function, like the variable x in the function, the members will show a variety of charms and talents not only in the Korea but also in the rest of Asia.
f stands for flower, and x stands for the XX chromosomes in females – they will be a feminine group like flowers, and will be the best Asia pop dance group being the hot icon of Asia.

They will make their first debut on September 2nd, 2009 at 5:00pm KST!
They will be showing off their fashion and music, as well as interact with fans and put on their first performance at the Seoul Samsung dong Fashion Center.
The event will last 1 hour, in which they will unveil their single LACHATA and the music video, as well as show off their special talents.
To support f(x), senior's Girls' Generation and SHINee will be in attendance at this showcase of SM Entertainment's newest girl group f(x).

Isn't it weird to have a group together were most everyone is 16- and then to have someone in their 20's? Just saying Victoria might have a hard time since she is what... 21 or 22?
Amber has really got some powerful raping skills, she is just in the wrong band, she should go and create female Big Bang.

f(x) official website launched
f(x) will be making their first debut stage on the 5th September episode of MBC Music Core and this will be a good chance for fans to see them on television, and impress neutrals. After Music Core, f(x) will also appear on Inkigayo the following day, so watch out for that as well.
And like all the other SM artistes, SM Entertainment have also launched an official website for f(x) where all kinds of information about them can be accessed. In the gallery section, more new pictures of f(x) have been uploaded under Chapter 1, while Chapter 2, 3, 4 remains locked and will probably be available in the coming weeks.
