cocklobin is a nagoya kei band from Tokyo, Japan. cocklobin was formed in the end of 2008 and held their first live on January 9th, 2009.

On January 1st 2009, cocklobin held their first concert as a band, at Takadanobaba AREA in Shinjuku, Tokyo. cocklobin were opening act for 9GOATS BLACK OUT and Ｓｕｇａｒ. cocklobin released their first mini-album “DARK DESIGN CATALOG” on June 29th 2009 in Japan only. The mini-album included 5 songs. In September, their two support members, HISAKI on bass and キリ on drums, joined cocklobin as official members, they also re-released their mini-album “DARK DESIGN CATALOG” in regular CD-shops in Japan on September 9th.
In November 2009 the band released “black”, their first single including three tracks.
cocklobin released their 2nd mini-album “死と再生” on March 24th, 2010, which included 6 new songs. In April, cocklobin is doing an coupling tour with 9GOATS BLACK OUT in Japan.

After recruiting HISAKI and キリ to be regular members the band plans on releasing a new release called “black” in November 2009.
In my opinion, these guys need way more love. They're a very new band and yet the they've proved their talent with their "DARK DESIGN CATALOG" mini-album. Also, I find the fact that kiri is a girl awesome. They've been on a coupling tour with DEATHGAZE, and this spring they'll be on another one with 9GOATS BLACK OUT, which makes me love them even more x3 I can't wait for March 24th, probably two of the best releases this year will be released on that day (cocklobin's mini-album and 9GOAT's album).

Actually I didn't start listening to them because of the name xD A friend told me to (: [size=7][thnx RAY if you ever read this][/size]
Their name is interesting xD cockrobin? cocklovin? I think it's cockrobin though, think I've read something about that. Or something. I think RAY linked something xD
Anyway, this band is great and more people should listen to them (:
I've listened to them, I thought they were decent but that was all. D;
I got turned off by their name so I haven't listened to them... at all.

Well, don't let their name fool you xD I thought they were a big joke at first. Or that they were sending us subliminal messages with the name "cocklobin" xD But anyways, it's "cockrobin". Their name refers to the Japanese robin, not anything else xD

And don't be afraid of some of their song titles either.. <_<'' xD
Haha, I wasn't turned off by their name or anything, I just thought it was a bit odd. xD

Cocklobins last releases have proven them to be a marvellous band
songs like WELCOME, Coil, Reborn, Delic, amongst others; really make me feel the joy and flow you feel when you're ... I dunno, doing nice stuff ?

This thread is kinda dead... ._. Come on guys, show a bit love to cocklobin! I just became a fan some months ago too.
