Rain is a South Korean pop singer, dancer, model, actor, businessman, and designer.

Rain lost his mother as she struggled with diabetes and died in 2000. Within that same year, Rain was recruited as a trainee for JYP Entertainment, led by recording artist and producer Park Jin-Young. In a CNN interview and also in a Discovery Channel documentary called Discovering Hip Korea,however, he recalled being repeatedly rejected because of his looks: "In fact, I was told after one audition that my singing and dancing was great but I did not make it because I did not have double eyelids."
During the early years of training, Rain was a backup dancer.

i live in LA. i am going to watch Speed Racer tomorrow it's Rain's first Hollywood big screen. he plays small part, but enough to bring his name to the world. i will report back tomorrow. fyi, the good news is, he is going to be the main actor for his second Hollywood's movie. the new movie is still on shooting in Europe. duh ... i couldn't wait.

omg. isn't he so cool in Speed Racer ? i couldn't really tell his accent. his english is pretty good. to bad in this movie, he can't really tell the world what he is capable of. could you let me know where to find out what kind of movie his is shooting now?

I'm going to buy "I'm a Cyborg but that's okay" DVD!!! It's finally released in Germany!! It's a korean drama and Rain is one of the main characters! It's a really sad and weird story! :RBhalo:
