I understand that JpopAsia would not like me to post videos that are fanmade, so could I post one that is of that song sang by that artist in his/her concert and is of actual live recording not done by a fan?
I think the rules against fan made video applies to adding them to the list of songs for that artist. If you stuck a youtube video in the forum somewhere you should be alright.
Like this one they claim is fan made even thought it is a cartoon that was paid for by the record company back when music videos were just starting out.
Granted the mods do tend to make up their own rules as they go along. So stick it up and see if the thread gets locked.

you can't post fanmade videos but you can put original MVs and vidoes live from concert or programme..
weird huh??
That is weird, since posting a clip of a concert or television program is blantant copyright infringement...but what do I know? I'm just a fan who watches the clips other people post.
I think we all do the same thing! ![]()
the rules used to be that you could only put original MV's and no concerts, but now they have concerts, but the rules on the upload page have not been changed. JPA is getting a lil confusing. but, fanmade videos are definately not allowed.
Actually they have been updated when you add a video.
When the pop up window appears, you can see a sign where it says "adding rules", if you move the cursor over it you'll see the rules for adding videos.
Pretty sure live concert videos are allowed
Fanmade videos are indeed NOT allowed. Neither are "fancams" aka someone who filmed a live video with, let's say a cellphone.
For example, videos such as this are not allowed:
(not a fancam but it contains more than one video).
Allowed:
so, if it's an official live recording aka a recording which could be found on a DVD. Then yes, you can add it. This goes for TV-shows such as Mnet and the equivalent.
Thanks for the clear instruction; it'll help me a lot. ![]()
P.S. So happy to see the Super Junior videos even if they're used, in this case, as instructional materials....XP
No worries
I'm here to help.
hahaha, I thought they would be appreciated ![]()
