Tackey & Tsubasa To Go On Hiatus

Idol group Tackey & Tsubasa has announced that it will be going on hiatus starting later this month.

In a statement announcing the hiatus, the two cited a difference in the direction as a unit for their decision. Their agency added that the two haven't been able to perform as a duo over the past few years due to Tsubasa Imai's inner ear problems.

The group's final activity will be on September 17 when they perform at "MUSIC STATION Ultra FES 2017". Afterwards, the two will focus on solo activities.

The hiatus is not meant to be permanent. The two stressed that they were not breaking up, and mentioned their desire to reunite in the future. However, they do not know how long their hiatus will last.

Tackey & Tsubasa debuted on September 11, 2002 with their debut single "Hatachi". Their agency apologize for the suddenness of the hiatus and for coinciding with their 15th anniversary.
