The most popular variety show in the South Korea will end. The members from "Running Man" had been discussing about their future, secretly, in Seoul (Yeouido).
Following the recent controversy involving Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo's leave, the producers of the hit variety show have decided to end on good terms. On December 16, PD Lee Hwan Jin told media outlets, "The members and producers had an emergency meeting in Seoul today."
He continued, "The members got together and cleared up the misunderstandings that arose until now. After discussion with Kim Jong Kook, Song Ji Hyo, the other members, and the producers, we've decided to finish 'Running Man' at the end of February. We'll do our best until the end for the viewers who've always given us such big support."
'Running Man' premiered on July 11, 2010 and is one of the longest-running variety shows on Korean television. What are your thoughts on the news?
The final episode is set to air on February 26, 2017.
