London-based space metal band Esprit D’Air release their comeback single, “Rebirth”, performing in Paris and London to celebrate.
Esprit D’Air have just dropped their new single, “Rebirth” on their new official VEVO channel.
“Rebirth” is now out worldwide on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play, and it is the band’s first release in four years. Their previous single “Shizuku” was featured as the first song in the “J-Rock” category of Harmonix’s Rock Band 3 for Xbox360.
The space metal trio will be celebrating the release of “Rebirth” with a two-date mini tour, performing at Le Trianon, Paris on 17 December, and at Zigfrid von Underbelly, London on 18 December. Limited tickets with free Rebirth posters have already been sold out, with only general admission tickets left for their London show.
The band reformed six months ago after a three year hiatus, leaving guitarist Kai to take on the role of the vocalist. “It is my first time singing in a band. I have always been able to sing, but I just wanted to be known as a guitarist—now, I really enjoy singing. I just hope that my voice will give the band a fresh new sound that people can enjoy”, said Kai.
Earlier this year, Esprit D’Air headlined at a charity concert organised by Peko Peko in aid for the five year anniversary of the Tohoku earthquake—raising £1,100 for English and music lessons at Aoba Gakuen, an orphanage in Fukushima. The band have also performed at the main stage of the UK’s biggest Japanese culture festival, HYPER JAPAN in London earlier this year.
