Hayao Miyazaki's "The Wind Rises" Nominated on Golden Globes' Short List

Hayao Miyazaki's
Hayao Miyazaki, an internationally acclaimed maker of anime feature films made his final Ghibli film, "The Wind Rises" before retiring on September this year.

The Wind Rises is one of the 58 foreign films nominated for the upcoming 71st Golden Globe's Best Foreign Language Film category's short list. It will be in direct competition against Hirokazu Kore-eda's "Soshite Chichi ni Naru" (Like Father, Like Son).

Moreover, the film was also submitted for the 86th Academy Awards' Best Animated Feature category to be held on March 2, 2014.

Final nominees will be announced on December 12 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The event will be hosted on January 12, 2014.
