Fairy Tail Anime To End Its Run On March 30th
The long-running anime Fairy Tail will air its final episode on TV Tokyo on March 30th.

Kodansha's TV Magazine stated in their recent Friday issue that the anime will end its run on March 30th at episode 175, "The Face of the Girl I Saw". The ending will leave the show in the middle of its current Grand Magic Games arc; the reason for the sudden ending has not been stated.

However, fans should have something to look forward to. Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima posted on his Twitter account recently asking fans to please be patient, as there is some good news coming.

Along with the cancellation, some speculate that the show may just be going on its first break in its multi-year run in order for the manga to accumulate more material, possibly switching stations or production companies, or undergoing a rebranding. For now, fans can only patiently wait for more information.

The anime began airing on TV Tokyo on October 12, 2009. The story of Fairy Tail revolves around a girl named Lucy and her journeys in a magical guild called Fairy Tail. The original manga is still being published weekly in Kodansha's Weekly Sh┼Źnen Magazine and is currently on chapter 321. The 5th OVA is set to release this summer.
