    Yokoyama Yu's Bio

    Yokoyama was born in Osaka like most of his fellow Kanjani8 members. He entered Johnny’s on Christmas of 1996 and it was Johnny Kitagawa who gave him his stage name Yu, because it was easy to say and write compared to his real name. Note that Kimi (from Kimitaka) means “You” in Japanese.
    As for acting, Yu most famous roles were in Yukan Club, The Quiz Show 2, The Guests of Room 0 and Hidarime Tantei EYE
