    Kaori Murakami (born March 11, 1972 in Suita, Osaka Prefecture, Japan), simply known by the stage name UA, is a Japanese singer. Kaori's birth name is Shima, then married Jun Murakami and had a son. Then she later divorced in 2006.
    In 2000, she took a hiatus and formed a band, Ajico, with Kenichi Asai.
    Kaori then married again in 2009 and had a daughter. She is now Kaori Hasegawa.

    Her unusual stage name is a Swahili word that means "flower" or "kill".
