Mika Arisaka's bio

Mika Arisaka (born June 28, 1974 in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese-American singer and vocalist. Due to her upbringing, she is bilingual and has performed in both English and (more commonly) Japanese. She attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She is a member of Reggae Disco Rockers and has a solo career. She sang both the opening and ending theme songs of Infinite Ryvius and the ending theme for The Twelve Kingdoms. With her career taking off, more chances to showcase her singing finally came.

Mika Arisaka, a singer/songwriter/ vocal chorus arranger, a member of Jazzy Sport (www.myspace.com/jazzysport) from Tokyo, came back from the U.S. in 1999 after ten years of staying includes the attendence and graduation from Berklee College of Music. She joined Reggae Disco Rockers (www.myspace.com/reggaediscorockers) as a main vocalist since 2004, released three albums. She also has been featured in many Japanese artists includes cro-magnon, Jazztronik, Home Grown, and many other artists from underground club scenes to major . She has released her first self- produced solo album "Aquantum" from Pony Canyon/ Knife Edge in summer of 2008

She is the vocalist for the second ending theme for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, "Life Goes On". This song was ranked top in Oricon daily single chart on first day of its release, and later ranked fourth in Oricon weekly single chart that same first week. Also, this song was ranked within TOP20 in Global Single Sales Chart(* http://www.mediatraffic.de/) in the seventh week of 2005.

She is featured on Jazztronik's new album called GRAND BLUE on the track "Sanctuary" that is coming out in June of 2007 from Pony Canyon Records, Japan close
