Michihiro Kuroda was born in Kyoto. After graduating in a technical school, he moved to Tokyo pursuing an opportunity in music scene.
While working in a karaoke box as a part-time job, he recorded a demo tape which made its way to Daisuke Asakura. In 1996, Kuroda became vocalist of Asakura's band, Iceman.
He began activity as solo artist in 2000, signing in the indies label Leap Records, and officially left Iceman in 2001.

He is probably most well-known for singing "Shining Collection" from the Gravitation anime or for the ending song "Yakusoku" from Elemental Gelade.
The song Yakusoku appeared on his album, In Depth, along with the brother track from the same single, "Break the Status Quo".
In early September 2006 it was announced that Kuroda will be the vocalist in a new group called SCARECROW, he will be reuniting with former Iceman member Kenichi Ito. close
