Enomoto Kurumi (榎本くるみ) is a Japanese singer-songwriter signed to the FOR LIFE MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT music label. Currently her only single to chart on Oricon's singles chart is her third; RAINBOW DUST which was the TBS drama Sweets Dream's theme song.

    Information

In August 2002 Enomoto debuted under the name Kurumi (くるみ) with the indies single Moeru Taiyou, which was released for sale in six Tower Records stores. Four months later, Enomoto would debut under Sony with the single Maboroshi, produced by US producer Meech Wells. This song would be featured as the Space Shower "POWER PUSH" highly promoted song for December 2002. Despite neither single charting on Oricon charts, Enomoto would release a second Sony single produced by Dr.StrangeLove bassist Negishi Takamune entitled Color Ningen. Enomoto would continue with Sony until late 2003.

In late 2005 Enomoto returned to the music scene with an indies single, Yasashii Uta wo Utaitai, which was released six months prior to her second major debut under FOR LIFE MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT with the ballad-single Kokoro no Katachi. A month prior to this, Enomoto featued on the cover of music magazine BARFOUT!. She was the first artist to be featured on the cover who had not offically debuted yet. Three months later saw the release of a second single, Uchiage Hanabi.

Originally Enomoto's third single was planned to be a double A-side titled Aisubeki Hito / doubt, but this was later changed to RAINBOW DUST. Currently the song Doubt has not surfaced in her discography yet (unless the song was re-titled). RAINBOW DUST was used as the drama Sweets Dream's theme song (despite low ratings). The single debuted at #99 on Oricon singles charts, Enomoto's highest position yet.

Aisubeki Hito would be later released in March 2007. The song itself was one taken from Enomoto's indies single. After the single's release it was used in an online drama called Music + Drama. In May 2007, Enomoto will release her debut album NOTEBOOK 1 ~Mirai no Kioku~. close
