Kumiko Yanagida was in second grade of high school, when her first demo tape was introduced on the web site of Senha & Co. Soon she achieved her debut in the summer of 2001 when she was in third grade, with single “Hachigatsuno niji (means Rainbow in August)” produced by Keiichi Sogabe.
Having released two albums (“Mahou no Kakekata”, i.e. how to cast a spell, in March 2002 and “Teto Teto Ondo”, i.e. a hand and a hand and the temperature, in April 2003) and three singles from indie, while she was then a teenager, her talented musicianship with pure vocal and her own lyrics revealing her straight affections have gathered much attention from the scene.
She went on to a junior college in her home town Morioka, and then graduated in March 2004, when she came up to Tokyo after three years’ career as an indie musician based in Morioka.
Her measure debut single “Starlight” was released on August 25, 2004. The long -awaited album “Egao ga Mieru Shunkan” (means the moment when a smile appears) followed in January 2005.
The latest mini album entitled “little by little” (October 2005) was produced by Keiichi Sogabe for the first time in four years, which was widely noticed close
