Lyric added by: silverliningMy Heart's thumping wildly
My spirit's about to burst out
This feeling's so wonderful
Oh you Are smiling at me
The temperature's rising; it's getting hotter
Oh, what should I do?
My eyes play hide-and-seek
Like a fawn leaping nervously (Leaping to the heart) (1)
I sway gently (2)
My face is like a red, red apple (The taste is so sweet)
Baby, who are you? Why have I turned into such a coward?
I like you so much; I say, "Long time no see!"
I've only met you once before...
Chorus:
My eyelashes are curved, my eyes they wink and blink
Why is that my words turn and twist at the corner of my mouth?
Your smile Curves like the crescent moon
It feels so romantic; I need you by my side
My eyelashes are curved, my eyes they wink and blink
The world after I've fallen for you has become so interesting
Come play Da Feng Chui [The Big Wind Blows]; "What does it blow?" (3)
"It blows someone who's fallen in love at first sight."
(1) 心頭小鹿亂撞 Xin tou xiao lu luan zhuang (literally, the fawn in my heart is running and bumping around wildly) is a phrase in Chinese folklore dating back to at least the 清 Qing Dynasty. According to my (quick) research, it most likely first appeared in 官場現形記 [Guan Chang Xian Xing Ji] [Reflections of Officialdom], a novel written in the early 1900's
(2) Though this line mentions a swing, the lyrics don't need to be taken literally-- the swing is merely part of the expression.
(3) 大風吹/Da Feng Chui [The Big Wind Blows] is a Taiwanese children's game, similar to "Simon Says."
