Chiyo+'s Bio

Chiyo+ was born on October 11, 1987 in Kanagawa, Japan. She started taking piano lessons at the age of 3 and began voice lessons at the age of 16. At 17, she began doing live gigs around clubs in Tokyo.

At 19, she traveled alone to New York and embraced herself with soul and jazz of the Harlem culture, while maintaining voice lessons.

In 2011, she signed with Universal Music Japan and debuted with the album "I am You".
