She released her debut single, “Colorful Tokyo Sounds NO.9,” on August 8th, 2007. Her music tends to have a sci-fi theme, which is one of the reasons that one of her songs was selected as the theme for the Japanese “Transformers Café”. She also performed at an MTV-sponsored event for the film on July 25th, 2007. [1]
Her first album, COPY, was released on September 3rd, 2008. It was released in 2 different versions; a 12 track album, and a 16 track album. Track 8 on the 12 track album is the original version of "Highbash" (ハイバッシュ, "Highbash"?), while on the 16 track album the YAKENOHARA version appears. People who purchased the album through Tower Records also received an exclusive track, "YAKENOHARA MEGAMIX," while those who bought the album through HMV received the track "L0ne1yBoy L0ne1yGirl" as a bonus track. For promotion, track 1 off the album, "GALAXY BOY," was used as the ending song to Aichi Television's show "Bonita!Bonita!!" It was also used to promote the "Dream car club of Tamoei Yakushiji" car show. The album reached a peak daily position of #31, and a peak weekly position of #48 and sold 3,163 copies. [2]
Her 2nd major (and 4th overall) single, Robot Honey (ロボットハニー, Robot Honey?) was released on October 29th, 2008. It reached a peak weekly position of #43 with 2,584 copies sold. [2]
