Well I guess I'm like your friend in some ways. 
Oh, I don't exactly have a favorite song. I like many songs, usually ones with good meanings behind them. For example, the song 'Mad About You (Fool)' by Big Bang is really good. So much emotion and feeling put into the lyrics. 
But I do have those moments where I think that a song is the best in the whole world, but after awhile, I start getting tired of listening to it and I move onto another song but I'll still like it.
I think that anime song 'Dear You' from the anime Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni is really good! And so it one of the anime's openings, 'Naraku No Hana.' But the anime itself is really gruesome and violent. I think one of the scenes actually made me cry. Especially that anime, Clannad!
Well for K-Pop, my all time favorite boy band would be Big Bang and then B.A.P, UKISS, and SHINee. I also listen to other K-Pop groups, but they're not my absolute favorites.
For J-Pop, I listen to Ayumi Hamasaki, Mami Kawada, and Miwa. I kinda like SCANDAL. The rest of my favorite Japanese songs usually come from animes.
For J-Rock, I listen to UVERworld and maybe a little bit of Nightmare.
And yeah, it's Jong Up from B.A.P! He's so H.O.T. 
And so is this guy, Daehyun.
