    Hi guys!!!

Today is an important day in history, it is the day where an alliance which will reign over JPopAsia is born.

This is my opening address which marks the commencement of the JPop JRock Alliance (JJA)

    I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day, in JPopAsia, with it's diverse music pool, have only JRock and JPop bands conquering the top spot of its monthly popularity rankings.

    • JPop VS KPop

Before I begin, I will declare that this is my personal opinion and I will not tolerate any negative comments made on my journal post.

For the purpose of making this journal, I would define JPop and KPop as Japanese music and Korean music in general respectively.

I think JPop is much better than KPop for several reasons:

For the purpose of making this journal, I would define JPop and KPop as Japanese music and Korean music in general respectively.

I think JPop is much better than KPop for several reasons:

Firstly, I love JPop much better than KPop because of the language. Korean language is not my favourite, to say at the very least. I like the Japanese language better in terms of the sound of its words, its pronunciation and its intonation.

Secondly, I love JPop much much better than KPop as I believe KPop is boring for me as it constantly repeats its house, urban, techno, disco and rap beats in its songs coupled with gay (merry) dance scenes. On the other hand, JRock often demonstrate high levels of musical talent when band members collectively produce an excellent rocking music with powerful drum beats, guitar solos, bass, and vocals which capture the true essence of rock and roll.

Thirdly, the lyrics of JPop songs often capture a deeper meaning than Kpop songs. Kpop songs often have lyrics which merely depict playful mundane love impulses whereas JPop/ JRock songs often have deeper meanings in their lyrics such as the artist's view on life, dreams, happiness, problems of life etc etc.

Lastly, I believe Kpop places more emphasis on its artists looks, appeal and external appearance than JPop. Kpop thus breeds a culture of idolatry more than JPop do, causing the degradation of music from an entertaining industry which serve to soothe the mind to mere obsessive idol worship.

This journal is merely my point of view of JPop and KPop and I have no intention to offend anyone.

      Thanks for reading :) :D

I just feel like sharing a memorable Hamlet soliloquy. LOL :)

        Here it is:

Tis now the very witching time of night,
When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out
Contagion to this world: now could I drink hot blood,
And do such bitter business as the day
Would quake to look on. Soft! now to my mother.
O heart, lose not thy nature; let not ever
The soul of Nero enter this firm bosom:
Let me be cruel, not unnatural:
        I will speak daggers to her, but use none;

          • Watching the Gundam series

            I'm now watching the Gundam 00 Season 1! It's awesome :)

The Gundam series was the best anime series of all time and is ongoing. I think newer episodes have shown steady improvements in animation quality and effects. I highly recommend anyone reading this to give it a try at watching these series as I personally find it very entertaining!

You don't have to watch the Gundam series from the very first episode which was released at 1979, although if you have lots of free time I think it is definitely worth it. It gives you a good first hand experience in enjoying the advances of which the animation industry has made since the last 30 years. · close
